Welcome

We welcome you to our website where you can find details about Lodge St Nicholas No.93.

St Nicholas Lodge No.93 is one of the oldest lodges of Freemasons in the Province of the City of Aberdeen. We celebrated our 250th anniversary in 2013, having received our Charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland in 1763. St Nicholas was the first purely speculative lodge of Freemasons in the city (as opposed to operative or working masons) and the lodge has a varied and interesting history. Lodge St Nicholas No.93 has met in a variety of locations over the years and as one of the owners has met within Freemasons Hall, Crown Street, Aberdeen since the magnificent premises were completed in the early 1900s.

Over the years, the members of the lodge have represented many different vocations and currently, the membership is comprised of a wide range of professions, including printers, engineers, architects, naval, police, hotel and leisure, food processing, oil sector, transport and motor trade, computing and IT specialists. The lodge is welcoming and friendly and within the membership are those from European and African countries.

Our office bearers all wear dinner suits for easy identification and the lodge member dress code is dark suit/jacket and tie. All masonic visitors are warmly invited and welcomed within the lodge. This website provides details of our meeting dates and programmes for each session, but should you wish to make contact before attending, please communicate with our lodge secretary. You can do so here.
