Welcome to St Nicholas University Lodge No. 93

Discover one of the oldest and most established Freemasons lodges in the Province of the City of Aberdeen.

St Nicholas University Lodge No.93 is one of the oldest lodges of Freemasons in the Province of the City of Aberdeen. We celebrated our 250th anniversary in 2013, having received our Charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland in 1763. St Nicholas was the first purely speculative lodge of Freemasons in the city (as opposed to operative or working masons) and the lodge has a varied and interesting history.

Our lodge has met in a number of locations throughout its history, but for over a century our home has been Freemasons’ Hall on Crown Street, Aberdeen—where we continue to meet today.

Our lodge is built on diversity, friendship, and shared experience. Our members come from a wide range of professions and backgrounds, creating a welcoming environment for anyone with an interest in Freemasonry. Whether you’re a student, a professional, or simply curious, you’ll find a supportive and inclusive community here.

We take pride in maintaining the traditions of the Craft, with formal meetings and a smart dress code, while also offering a relaxed and sociable atmosphere where lasting friendships are formed.

Visiting Freemasons are always warmly welcomed, and anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to get in touch with our Lodge Secretary. You can also explore our meeting dates and lodge programme to see what we have planned throughout the year.

We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you to St Nicholas University Lodge in the near future.
