Have you had an interest in Freemasonry and learning more about it, but don’t know where to start?
At St Nicholas University Lodge No. 93, we warmly welcome men from all walks of life who are curious about what it truly means to be a Freemason. Our lodge, based here in Aberdeen, is a place where friendship, personal growth, and community participation come together in a meaningful and time-honoured way. While we are proud to work under the guidance of the Grand Lodge of Scotland, and particularly the Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeen City, our identity is shaped by the character and diversity of our members — students, professionals, tradesmen, retirees — all united by shared values of integrity, respect, and a desire to make a positive difference.

We understand that taking the first step can feel a bit daunting — but it really doesn’t need to be. We’re just a group of ordinary men, from all walks of life, who enjoy genuine friendship, support one another, and share a commitment to improving ourselves and the world around us. Freemasonry is not about rituals and secrecy — it’s about community, personal growth, and being part of something that’s stood the test of time.
Whether you’re a student, a working professional, or retired, there’s a place for you in our lodge.

Freemasonry isn’t just about meetings — it’s about meaningful connections and real friendships that extend well beyond the lodge room.
We’re proud to be a mix of men of all ages and backgrounds, and that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Outside of our regular meetings, we enjoy catching up socially — whether it’s a casual pint, a meal, a walk, some pool, or taking part in group activities and events. It’s these informal get-togethers that really build the bonds of brotherhood and make our lodge such a welcoming place.
If you’re looking not only to grow personally but also to be part of a supportive, social group where you’ll feel at home, Freemasonry might be the path for you.
